Falcons’ draft board: Arizona State OLB/DE Carl Bradford

By D. Orlando Ledbetter

Each morning, from now until the draft starts on May 8, we’ll do a short profile of a player who’s on the Falcons’ Draft Board. We’ll focus on team-needs, possible selections, players the Falcons have worked out and/or interviewed, etc. The Falcons own 10 picks in this draft. Today we’ll look at Arizona State linebacker/defensive end Carl Bradford.

Player: Carl Bradford

Position: Outside linebacker/defensive end

School: Arizona State

Height and weight: 6-1, 250

Combine numbers: 4.76 seconds in the 40-yard dash; 23 reps on the 225-pound bench press; 37 1/2-inch vertical; 10-2 broad jump, 4.3 seconds in the shuttle run and 7.25 in the three-cone drill.

Projected Round: He’s the seventh-rated defensive end/outside linebacker in the draft and projected to be selected in the second or third round by

Career Highlights:Bradford had 18 tackles for loss, including 8.5 sacks, one interception and three forced fumbles last season for Arizona State. He was named to the All-Pac-12 second team. He has his degree.

Quotes: “I had a couple (meetings with) teams with inside and outside (linebacker openings), so I can play either, or. I have experience on the outside, and I can put my hand in the dirt or stand up. I think that helps a lot. Some teams kind of (see me) as a (strongside) backer, and some see me as middle (linebacker).”

Falcons level on interest: The Falcons are young at the linebacker position and Bradford has some pass-rushing ability. The Falcons are clearly looking for versatile players like Bradford, who can fit into many different roles.

This guy could be a baller we know he's strong and he has a nose for the ball. Could be great on special teams.

Was watching a show last night on CBS with Jessie Tuggle and Ray Buchanan talking about the 98' season.  What a blast reliving that Super Bowl year with their insight.

DLed, show us your Mock!

Let's not forget

Kyle Van Noy

Kenny Ladler

Keith McGill, I think he can play safety

Trevor Reilly

Lamarcus Joyner

Christian Jones

Tiny Richardson

Juwan James

Terrence Brooks

Jeremy Hill

Tre Mason

I swear DLed, you possess common sense above most, if not all, mock drafts. You have been "dealing" lately. The Falcons could use all of the prospects you've posted so far. I just hope the front office doesn't screw up by trading any picks. This team needs talent and depth at all positions. I hope TD will keep all the picks and conduct a methodical draft.

Sleeper alert!!

This dude was awesome in 2012. He got the Clowney treatment from Pac 12 teams in 2013, double-triple teamed every snap.

He's another Vontaz Burfict.

Do not trade up.......and if Manziel is available with your last pick, take him......we'll explain later

Did U see Johnny Fottballs Wonderlick score?

Flacons MUST drat Johnny Fottball

@Esquire  Good Stuff. I remember watching the 80 Divisional playoffs with the Cowboys, one bad call away from the Super Bowl, heart breaking. We did finish 12-4 and NFC West Champs that year though.

This team needs talent and depth at all positions.

Incredible insight there dawg..................
