Where’s the Falcons’ schedule release party tonight?

FLOWERY BRANCH — The Falcons are set to receive their schedule from the league office at 8 p.m. tonight.

We’ll have the digital release party right here, so check back shortly after 8 p.m.

The league previously announced that the home game against Detroit will be played at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014 at London’s Wembley Stadium.

I think Falcons coach Mike Smith ordered up an “all-nighter” for those not making the trip across the pond.

“I believe (playing early) is a new thing for the NFL,” Falcons coach Mike Smith said. “Breakfast with the Falcons. Everybody gets an opportunity eat breakfast. If they want to do their tailgating, they need to stay up all night.”

We already know what teams they’ll face, but will they face cold weather teams – Minnesota, Green Bay and New York – early in the fall or later in the season?

A trip to Baltimore or Cincinnati in December could also be chilly for a Dome team.

After going 4-12 and finishing in last place in the NFC South, there likely won’t be five nationally televised games in 2014.

Here are the opponents:

2014 AWAY GAMES — Carolina (12-4), Tampa Bay (4-12), New Orleans (11-5), Green Bay (8-7-1), Minnesota (5-10-1), Baltimore (8-8), Cincinnati (11-5) and New York Giants (7-9).

2014 HOME GAMES — Carolina, Tampa Bay, New Orleans, Detroit (in London) (7-9), Chicago (8-8), Cleveland (4-12), Pittsburgh (8-8) and Arizona (10-6).

Check back tonight to see complete Falcons and NFL schedules.
