White, understandably, expected to miss OTAs today

Comments 0

FLOWERY BRANCH – Falcons wide receiver Roddy White is not expected to be at organized team activities this week.

The Falcons will hold the second of their 10 non-contact practices at 10:30 a.m. today. (It’s open to the media, so we’ll have some blogs, videos and stories on AJC.COM and MYAJC.COM throughout the day.)

His family is still mourning the death of his brother, Tyrone Moore, Jr. He reportedly was still in Charleston on Tuesday.

White, who hasn’t commented publicly on the murder, did send out a tweet on Sunday. The funeral was last Thursday.

Football-wise, White is reportedly in fine shape. He spent part of April and May working out in Arizona with Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald, who’s a good friend. (His Dad is my longtime pal!) Little Larry also reportedly went to see White in Charleston after the tragic shooting death.

Check back later for info from today session.
