"The Falcons will practice with the Titans in Flowery Branch, on Monday, August 4 and travel to Houston to practice with the Texans on Wednesday, August 13 and Thursday, August 14."

This and more should be commonplace and eliminate two preseason games and moving to an 18 game regular season.  Aside from ripping season ticket holders off with regular season pricing for a practice game, with all of the offseason work, scrimmages, prior player performance and coaches familiarity with the same, training camp, and two preseason games, the coaching staff will know with about 99% certainty who will be their opening day starters.

Two more preseason games aren't worth the cost (injuries) and the price (money).
