I don't know Terren Jones, the current back-up LT, at all. Somehow I missed him.  Has anyone watched him play?  I see that he's big.  Is he any good?

I'm trying to remain optimistic about this season but my gut feeling says we're going to struggle on both the offensive and defensive lines. We simply do not have enough talent to compete with the top tier teams in our division. Sounds like a rebuild is in the making.

Pat Angerer and Prince Shembo should be the starting LBs.

I have not been impressed with he a possible cut?? I would definitely give Jacques Smih a chance with the #1 Defense just to see if he is ready.

NO WAY Lamar Holmes should be a starter on the OL (not OT or G!!!!)

I would love to find a starting caliber C and OT if any are available. I still have a feeling Carimi will come through after  ankle gets better.

Look at our LB corp! If there was ever a bunch of no names this would be the group.

A HUGE weakness last year that we ddn't even attempt to address in FA.

Also Lamar Holmes is still on the team? much less starting! This guy looked completely lost last season.

TD needs to start trading some picks in order to bring in a couple of starters. 1OL and 1LB would be nice.

- If you are TD why not do this? This team looks the same as last year and if he is thinking long term well that's what a GM should be doing but he won't be here next season so he might as well start wheeling and dealing in order to save this season and his job.

And Kroy Biermann STILL a #1 after getting pushed and tossed all over the field by the Texans?  Absurd!

Rotate JR,AS and DF for the entire 1st and 2nd Quarters. Go Falcons !!

When I think of the venerable Tommy Boy Genius Dimitroff while reviewing the roster - 2 unmistakable words always come to mind! DOOSH and BAGG...

@WilliamCoit Sounds like the simple truth to me, so I'm in complete agreement. Yes, in addition to NO and Carolina, even Tampa has now developed a better team.  I've been a Falcons fan since I moved to Georgia in 1974, and would like to be able to continue to support the team, but I personally doubt there will be grounds for optimism until Dimitroff is gone (although I wonder how Smith could not also have played a major role in the decisions that were made).  Ultimately, of course, it's Blank's team.  It's true in all sports...some teams just have the wrong owners.

@ctfalconsfan Agree totally about the LB corps.  Also, TD's decision to stick with Baker at LT (even a healthy Baker) and Holmes as a back-up T, was so bone-headed it defies understanding.  Did he actually watch the performance of these guys?  What would they grade at?  Maybe "D" (and that's on the curve).

We have a stable of RB's and WR's that could be packaged in a trade for a pass rusher, LB or even a solid tackle.
