SNEAK PREVIEW: Falcons on Hard Knocks at 10 p.m.

By D. Orlando Ledbetter

FLOWERY BRANCH – HBO Sports president Ken Hershman was at practice on Tuesday.

The third installment of the 11-time Emmy award-winning show is set 10 p.m. tonight.

“So far, it’s been great,” Hershman said. “The shows have been terrific. The story lines have been great. The cooperation from the team has been unparalleled. The ratings are really, really strong. They are up double-digits compared to last season.IMG_1932

“The Atlanta market is up over 200 percent from the normal ratings period. It’s firing on all cylinders.”

Spotlighted on tonight’s show is how a new quarterback absorbs a new offense, Roddy White, Julio Jones and Harry Douglas at the bowling alley, rookie Jake Matthews locks up with Texans superstar JJ Watt in practice and more pearls of wisdom from the book of Bryan Cox.

Falcons thrashed by Texans, 32-7

5 things we learned from the Falcons’ lost to the Texans

Baker out for season; Matthews likely headed for left tackle spot

Jadeveon Clowney made impact plays against the Falcons

Julio Jones makes 2 catches for 20 yards in his return

Falcons coach Mike Smith on the loss to the Texans

Falcons QB Matt Ryan on the offense

Falcons RB Devonta Freeman after the loss to the Texans

Falcons CB Robert Alford after the loss to the Texans

Falcons on hard knocks-guess they forgot the hard knocks were suppose to happen on the field in texas.  A very weak display of (touch) football.

Some of us have had to bowl with those "House Balls" are whole life.  My girl friend and I were invited to bowl in the White House by some Secret Service Agent, when we were in College in DC during the Reagan Era. We guess he was so senile he didn't know what they did.  We turned them down, we thought it was too much of a pick up line. Plus we did not want to be hit on by Secret Service guys old enough to be our fathers when we were 20. Even if we could have bowled in the White House. We just hit the lanes in PG county, and used the  "House Ball" during disco nights.

'HouseBall'....too funny.
