FLOWERY BRANCH — Here’s what we learned today about the Falcons (5-1), who play the Tennessee Titans (1-4) at 1 p.m. Sunday at Nissan Stadium in Nashville.
- Mettenberger may face Falcons. Tennessee quarterback Marcus Mariota suffered a MCL sprain and there are reports that he will not play against the Falcons. Former Georgia and LSU quarterback Zach Mettenberger will start if Mariota can’t play. Here’s a look at the Titans.
- Hometown Huddle. Falcons owner Arthur Blank was at M. Agnes Lewis elementary school and worked his way through all of the drill. Click here to see the photo gallery.
- Wheeler added. The Falcons added linebacker Philip Wheeler, the former Georgia Tech standout. They released safety Charles Godfrey.
- Fox announcers. Thom Brennaman will handle the play-by-play with analysis from Charles Davis and Tony Siragusa on Fox.
- Practice. The Falcons return to practice with a morning walk-through followed by a Wednesday afternoon practice.
