FLOWERY BRANCH – The Falcons completed phase two of the offseason training program and are set to a launch three weeks of organized training activities on Monday.

Here are the five things we learned this week about the Falcons:

1. Boykin to visit on Monday. Former Georgia cornerback Brandon Boykin, of Fayetteville, is set to visit the Falcons on Monday. The Falcons are down a corner after not re-signing Philip Adams and with Jalen Collins set to serve a four-game suspension to start the season.

2. Gibson signed for line depth. The Falcons added depth to the offensive line when they signed Laurence Gibson, an offensive tackle and guard who was drafted by Dallas and was on Kansas City’s practice squad last season.

3. Cheap food/beer at the new stadium. The Falcons announced that they will have cheap concession prices in the new stadium including unlimited soda. They might want to add a $2 garden salad to keep those health food folks happy. (Who goes to a football game/stadium expecting to eat healthy?)

4. Beasley embracing move to linebacker. Falcons defensive end Vic Beasley is embracing is move to strongside linebacker in the base defense. We have a Sunday story on how the move came about.

5. Quiet on the Roddy White front. The Falcons all-time leading receiver wants to keep playing for a contender. But that didn’t stop one writer from linking White to the Minnesota Vikings. George Stewart, White’s first position coach in the NFL, is the Vikings’ wide receiver coach and Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer was with the Falcons in 2007, when White had his breakout season.
