FLOWERY BRANCH — Here are five quick takes from Sunday’s practice, the fourth of training camp.

The players will have Monday off.

1. Julio Jones received more action. Falcons All-Pro wide receiver Julio Jones participated in practice and took part in some of the 11-on-11 work. Coach Dan Quinn said Jones wasn’t on a “pitch count,” but he was being closely monitored.

2. Big hit of the day. Rookie safety Keanu Neal popped tight end Jacob Tamme at the end of one play and they got in to a little skirmish. Neal said he violated the first team rule, which is “protect your teammates” and Tamme let him know about it after the hit.

3. Robinson shining. Wide receiver Aldrick Robinson continues to make plays down the field. He caught up to a long pass in individual session and then came back to an under thrown pass when cornerback Akeem King was in coverage.

4. Rotating guards. The Falcons were rotating guards with the first-team offense. Left guard Andy Levitre and right guard Chris Chester were rotating with Mike Person and rookie Wes Schweitzer.

5A. Rose was kicking field goals. Rookie kicker Nick Rose made 6 of 8 of his field goal attempts with Matt Bosher as the holder. He missed wide left from 44 yards on the left hash mark and wide right from the left hash mark from 49 yards. He’s trying to unseat veteran Matt Bryant.

5B. Kickoff returners. Running back Tevin Coleman, wide receiver Devin Fuller, wide receiver J.D. McKissic and wide receiver Eric Weems were returning kickoffs today. The Falcons are looking to replace returner Devin Hester, who was released before the start of training camp.
