FLOWERY BRANCH — Falcons offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan picked off a Matt Ryan pass in practice that was intended for tight end Austin Hooper.

Shanahan was showing the rookie tight end Austin Hooper what happens when he runs his route at the wrong depth.

“He’s going to get fined in our meeting room, that’s for sure,” Ryan said of Shanahan. “That’s part of the fun of camp. You get to see things like that. Have a good time with stuff like that. Even with that play, I think that’s a great thing for Austin to learn from. For both of us to learn from, about where he needs to be. It was a cool way for Kyle to get that message across.”

Our pal, Knox Bardeen from 92.9 The Game got some video of the pick.
