FLOWERY BRANCH — The Atlanta Falcons (5-3), coming of a thrilling 33-32 victory over the Green Bay Packers, are set to face Tampa Bay (3-4) at 8:25 p.m. Thursday at Raymond James Stadium.

Here’s a look at Falcons wide receiver Taylor Gabriel

Here are five things to know about the Falcons on Wednesday:

1. Practice. The Falcons will hold a closed walk-through and leave for Tampa Bay in the afternoon.

2. Ryan top MVP candidate. Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan is a popular pick for a lot of the mid-season most valuable player awards. However, he’s not content with the No. 1 ranked scoring offense and No. 1 offense in total yards.

3. Jones has bruised knee. Falcons All-Pro wide receiver Julio Jones suffered a bruised knee, but is not overly concerned about the injury. The Falcons had his right knee examined on Monday.

4. Coleman, Freeney likely to be held out. Falcons running back Tevin Coleman (hamstring) went on a fitness run on Tuesday, but it didn’t sound like he’s going to get cleared to play against the Bucs. Defensive end Dwight Freeney’s thing likely needs the rest on a short week, too. We expect them both to be declared out for Tampa Bay later today.

5. What Brent Grimes has to say. Tampa Bay cornerback Brent Grimes talked to the Atlanta media. (No, we didn’t ask about how Mrs. Grimes is doing. Hope they both are doing well).
